Sneak Peek

Just thought I'd share a little about what's going on in the life of Shyla...

So after 1 year of being in Boston and trying to find the PERFECT town where I could settle a bit, I fiinally found just the right fit about 10 miles north of Boston proper in the little oceanside town of Marblehead, MA.
[click here to see pics of the town]

Construction on the new place wrapped up and I'll get to move in next week! Here's a sneak peek from behond the scenes with the trusty ol' iPhone. I'll post real pictures once the place is up and running but for now you get this...

:e: came out to help me clean the place up a bit and I couldn't help but laugh at the shots. It's a gender role reversal. haha. He swept and I manned the power-tools. ;] (but to his credit, they are HIS tools and I did wear frilly girly gloves to clean)
Anyway, I found this great piece of furniture and decided to revamp it by adding/making shelves. What was once a hanging wardrobe will soon be an upright dresser with pull out shelving. The couch and chair you see are the sweet finds that are about to be re-upholstered.

I cannot wait until it's all put together but since you're being patient, I'll leave you with another sneak peek of a session I did earlier this week...

I am just in love with this ENTIRE post! First of all, I totally think you should have your own HGTV show! How fun would that be? Second of all...that sneak peak is rocking my socks off. Amazing!

Congrats Shyla! I love the homes back East. Speaking of Boston, I'm coming back to visit on Saturday April 11th and having lunch with some other photographers in Boston. It would be awesome if you can make it. We're meeting here at 1pm:

you can see that guy's nipple thru his shirt. I'm just saying... they invented the healing brush for a reason. Why is that shirt so tight? He should wear clothes that fit.

Mary: someone else told me that today! ha. Lets see how the Portrait House pilot comes out before I commit to anything on camera though ;)

K: More he-man...err...:e:-man coming soon. and a return phone call coming soon as well. Thanks for callin' today!

Sara: please give Liana my love. :(

Brian: seriously homes on the E coast have the beauty and charm the surpasses many other. I love that they aren't cracker box houses that all look the same. and game on my friend, see you Saturday.

e: You know, normally I wouldn't photoshop out something that tells part of the story but I recall it being rather warm in that barn and that nipple falsely indicates it was cold or something.
PLus, I bet if you take a poll of the girls looking at the pics, they would vote that his clothes fit juuuuust right ;) Damn, I should've just asked him to take off his shirt and rub on oil.

i had plenty of oil on. it just froze to my shirt.

that's all I'm sayin.

Congrats on the new place! I can't wait to see the after pics...especially of newly reupholstered sweet furniture! Ha...some day I'll get to a project like that....um, maybe.

And more of e-man would not be unwelcome....but all that oil and skin y'all are talking about would have been a bit much for a 'sneak peek' ;)
